Infants 0-2 £ 15.00 per child per night including breakfast – travel cots available on request

Children 2 – 12 £ 65.00 per child per night including breakfast – using additional Z beds in the room

Children over 12 will be charged an adult price and will use existing beds

Children under the age of  are not permitted in the dining room in the evening, however there is a tasty lounge menu available in the comfortable lounge areas of the hotel

The grounds

Llangoed Hall is situated in the heart of the beautiful Welsh countryside on the banks of the River Wye. The hotel itself is located within 17 acres of breathtakingly beautiful landscaped gardens. It is a magical setting and the perfect backdrop for celebrating a special occasion. Alongside a working kitchen garden there is also a maze within the grounds that provides endless fun for those brave enough to enter it.

History of the hotel

From the potential site of the first Welsh parliament in 560AD to being lost in a card game, Llangoed Hall possesses a history as long as it is fascinating.

Llangoed Hall was believed to have been the legendary White Palace, home of the first Welsh parliament. A mansion existed from 1632. It was first in the possession of the MacNamara family having been won in a card game and it stayed with them for two generations until 1847. In 1912 Clough Williams Ellis re-designed the mansion as a country house. Sir Bernard Ashley bought Llangoed Hall in 1987 and opened it as a hotel in 1990.

Llangoed was Clough Williams Ellis first major commission and predates Portmeirion, his renowned Italianate village in North Wales, by over a decade

Dogs Policy

The hotel has 2 dedicated doggy-friendly rooms.  The charge for the furry friend in the room is only £25.00 per night. 

Alternatively, you can leave your dog, free of charge, in one of the heated kennels, while you enjoy your stay at Llangoed Hall. We also provide a doggy pack to the kennel as well.

All we require is for you to contact our team at the reservation stage, to make sure they have the dog-friendly rooms or kennels available for the required dates.

Dogs are also welcome in the Snooker room or any of the outside areas, where they can join you for a drink. Dogs are not allowed in the main restaurant.

They can also assist you with plenty of ideas for walks with your dog. The reception team will be more than happy to show you some paths.

They respectfully advise that any damage caused by dogs in the rooms will incur an extra charge.
