"Excellent Hotel but Bristol totally unfriendly to Motorists"

The hotel, food, facilities and staff are absolutely first class. Driving into Bristol has always been challenging but it has become completely ridiculous, As a 75 year old pensioner with an elderly and infirm dog, means public transport is, simply, not an option . This is not the hotels fault but after a disastrous journey with poor signage for the visitor, I am unlikely to stay in the city again. I will spend my .money where I feel more welcome. Sad for the hotel which is a fantastic place to stay.

Super place to stay if visiting Bristol, especially the old city or harbour area. Staff were very professional throughout. Rooms were lovely and imaginatively decorated in keeping with the history of the building. Only had breakfast but probably one of the best we ve had in a long time. Would highly recommend.
"Lovely Hotel with classic feel"

The staff, in particular, made my dog and I extremely welcome. Room was extremely comfortable and had a lovely ambience Breakfast was absolutely perfect. Beautifully cooked, delivered and presented. - Thoroughly recommended!

Steven H, Wiltshire, stayed: January 2022 Surprise birthday overnight stay for my wife, staff couldn't be more helpful and offered us a fantastic upgrade upon check-in. Room was fantastic, warm, comfortable, luxurious and very clean. The restaurant was very good. Great service, choice and quality. The breakfast was outstanding and generously portioned with the continental breakfast available also. Will definitely recommend and stay agian.
