Stunning 4* countryside spa hotel just outside London

We booked this hotel for a quiet weekend break and booked a package which included a 3 course meal Friday and Saturday evenings. We parked in front of reception and unloaded our bags before moving the car to the car park which is immediately behind the hotel so only a very short walk. Check in was quick and efficient and when we got to our room we were amazed at the size of it. It was more like a suite with all the amenities you would expect. The evening meals were very nice with good attentive service in the restaurant. Breakfast both morning was buffet style but also a nice selection and as good as you'd get in any 4* hotel. Although there was a large corporate event in the main function room we weren't disturbed by any noise or disruption at all Saturday night, although we did hear others complaining at reception the following morning. We had a walk in the grounds late Friday afternoon and although the immediate surroundings around the main building are well kept we felt that the wider grounds could be better used to give guests more opportunity to walk in the woods etc.
Overall a very nice relaxing break that worked out extremely good value for money for what we got.
If we could have the same room again we would definitely go back.
