an excellent duplex suite at Danesfield House

My wife and i booked in to Danesfield house in a duplex suite for a special night away to celebrate her birthday. the rooms came up to our expectations but the very old floral carpet in the stairs and the hallway rather let down general the ambiance. on does not nticipate a thred bare carpet in such a place.
staff were excellent and friendly
the restaurant was just good and not at all special.
the setting is magical and made up for the deficiencies highlighted above,.
