Two days of luxury living!

We came to Danesfield on a Telegraph discount offer, but got the full luxury treatment. The hotel is well situated, above the Thames and very imposing, especially on arrival. The Great Hall is magnificent.
Our room was in the stable block - difficult to get my wheeler over the pebbles, but I managed very well on two sticks. Our room was large and we were amused to find the free-standing bath and the clear glass shower actually in the room with us! Fortunately my sister and I are used to sharing......
and we were very comfortable.
All the staff were welcoming and helpful, especially the waiters, and we enjoyed all our meals very much both on the terrace and inside looking out at it We did not use the spa but went over and were shown round, then sat on the spa terrace in the sunshine. Yes ,it was a very good two days.
