A beautiful hotel with a friendly atmosphere. Room was very clean and comfortable with a superb view over the river . Very interesting history to the lovely gardens .
The evening food restaurant was a disappointment . Our request not to have garlic restricted what we chose but we accept that . However our food was highly seasoned , the sauce accompanying our scallops was very salty. We chose not to eat there after the first night .The bar menu was much better . Breakfast was excellent .
Service in all parts of the hotel was very friendly and a high standard.
