As a couple we had a very pleasant stay. The staff were helpful and mostly very professional. The room was comfortable (although the bathroom was rather chilly). The dining rooms are traditional - white linen, comfortable seats, well-spaced tables, nice atmosphere and good service. My wife used the spa (I did not due to having a bad cold). She enjoyed it but said some of the equipment is not the latest and could do with some updating. The hotel is in a peaceful location overlooking the river and well away from the road. Despite the poor weather there are nice places to visit - National Trust, Marlow and Henley, Toad Hall garden centre and so on. We are considering another visit in the spring when the weather will (hopefully) be more amenable.
