Situated in Cringletie House near Peebles, the Cringletie restaurant offers a spectacular setting for lunch or dinner. The tall windows look out over the gardens and the hills beyond. The original fireplace is a work of art as is the hand-painted ceiling of this room.
The Sutherland Restaurant seeks to uphold the finest traditions of fine dining, with its kitchen brigade focusing on the careful preparation of dishes and its front-of-house team committed to maintaining the highest standards of table service and presentation.
The Scottish Borders offer a wonderful and diverse range of produce, which the restaurant strives to incorporate throughout its menus. Where possible, ingredients are sourced from the restaurant's own Walled Garden and from across the estate.
The restaurant believes that combining local and international ingredients creates dishes that not only look exceptional and taste delicious, but also satisfy the most discerning palate.

Lunch
Lunch is served daily from 12.30 p.m. to 3.00 p.m. in The Sutherland Restaurant, featuring seasonal menus. A minimum of 24 hours' advance booking is required for the Lunch Menu.
Sunday Lunch – A Great British Tradition!
The Sunday Lunch Menu offers a wonderful selection of locally sourced produce, including beef from the Tweed Valley.
Guests can enjoy a three-course menu with a choice of starters, followed by a selection of roast meats, all carved at the table by the chefs. Roasts are served with honey-roasted root vegetables, crispy goose-fat potatoes and dressed greens. Vegetarian and vegan options are also available.
To finish, guests can choose from a trio of indulgent desserts. Alternatively, a selection of Scottish and international cheeses is available for an additional charge, served with homemade chutney, honey, grapes and artisan crackers.
Sunday Lunch is priced at £42.95 per person, with a £7.50 supplement for cheese.
On Sunday evenings, the Sutherland Restaurant also features its Gourmet Sunday package, comprising a nine-course tasting menu accompanied by carefully selected wines to complement most of the dishes. The experience commences at 6.15 p.m. with a glass of Joseph Perrier Blanc de Blancs Champagne, while the Chef introduces guests to the evening's menu.
Children are welcome to dine in the restaurant, with highchairs available and a dedicated children's menu offered. Children are also welcome to make their own selections from the main dinner menus.
Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options are always available, ensuring that the restaurant can accommodate a wide range of dietary preferences and requirements.
