History of the hotel
In February 2016, a local firm, Comis Holdings, acquired the empty site with a bold vision to build a landmark hotel and leisure destination for the island. Their redevelopment plan, named "COMIS at Mount Murray," sought to restore the estate's former vitality with fresh, high-quality hospitality.
Construction progressed in phases. Phase one, completed in September 2018, revealed a completely refurbished public area, 105 spacious rooms, upgraded conference suites, and the elegant new Snaefell restaurant seating 140 guests
Phase Two, Was completed in spring 2019, adding further luxury: the island's only ESPA Spa, a heated indoor pool, and a modern gym and leisure complex.
