"Shame about the flies"

Apart from too many flies in the restaurant (it is in the country) and the spa being mediocre, everything else was excellent. In particular, the room was clean and well appointed.
"A good facility with excellent service"
Yvonne, stayed: March 2026 The hotel is a 1970 s-80 s style building so isn t charming but it s well looked after and the staff are excellent. The room (Hill Room) was large and comfortable but a bit bland. The advertised tennis courts are in poor repair which is a shame. Spa is lovely, treatments v good. The health club is ok-a bit dated, pool adequate. The restaurant is the star of the show. Really excellent, way better than a standard hotel restaurant. It was a relaxing weekend, golf looked good (we only used yhe driving range), and we enjoyed our stay.

Anon, stayed: December 2024 We had a really lovely stay and everything was really nice. All the staff were friendly and so lovely and the food in the restaurant was excellent. The hotel is in a Country type location so you would definitely need transport to get to places as there s nothing around it. A very relaxing break and a nice spa and golf course in the hotel grounds. Would definitely stay there again.
"Disappointing reception"
HB, Somerset, stayed: July 2024 A good hotel which gave us a comfortable stay. The location is lovely and is perfect for golfers which neither of us are to be fair. I had a relaxing swim whilst my husband checked out the sauna. These facilities did not disappoint. Our room was comfortable and all very clean. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious, very well prepared and could not be faulted.
