Welcome on arrival and shown to a fabulous bedroom (12) with ensuite facilities and very comfortable bed. Only criticism was control of the shower, scalding one minute cold the next, thermostat did not seem to be in control! Also a dribbling sink hot tap which we could not turn off. (mentioned on departure). The restaurant was a little disappointing - starters generally OK as were puds. but mains a bit daunting eg I had pork one evening which was enough to feed a very hungry trucker! I had pheasant the second night which was dry and overcooked.. However, breakfast was a good experience, staff helpful and friendly and overall the hotel has a nice ambience.
