Lovely old hotel just a short stroll into city centre

A very well placed, comfortable, quiet and clean hotel. Staff are all so pleasant and helpful. We booked a 2 night dbb with gin spritz and bottle of fiz and upgraded to an executive room. Great value for money. Food was tasty with good selection and service. We parked in the hotel car park - 12 per day but worth it to be so close to the centre. Yorkshire Dales, Ripon, York, Leeds all easy to visit either by car or public transport. Would definitely stay again.
