We enjoyed our stay in spite of the heat and no air con, and appreciated the ice cold water dispenser in the foyer. The hotel is in an ideal position to explore Harrogate and surrounding areas with the Valley gardens close by and a footpath to RHS Harlow Carr. We had a fan in our room to hep mitigate the heat but found the shaver socket was not working. We reported this but had no feedback and it was still faulty when we left. We have stayed at The Old Swan before and will do so again but perhaps not eat in the restaurant as the range of main courses was rather limited. The staff were very helpful and the surroundings excellent and characterful.
