"Disappointed"

Room was a bit tatty ceiling badly patch and general decoration needed doing in room dinning room was magnificent but food was more looks than substance ordered pea an asparagus soup with gnocchi how do you eat a whole asparagus with spoon Gammon very salty both of us left most of it. Tomato and mushroom heated in water not good apple tatean was just a strip

Moira, Dumfriesshire, stayed: September 2026 We had a lovely stay at The Old Swan. The rooms have been updated since our last visit. Bed very comfy and lovely linen. Spottlessly clean. Our dinner was delicious great choice, compliments to the chef and great choice at breakfast too. Good location for exploring Harrowgate which is lovely.

Anon, stayed: September 2026 Excellent value break, the room was OK but the mattress was too soft for our taste so we did not sleep that well. Food in general was good and all staff helpful.

Anon, stayed: September 2026 This is a good hotel close to the town centre. The price is remarkably low, making it excellent value. The only downside is a 12 per day car parking charge, I don t recollect having to pay such a charge at another hotel of this size and quality.
