Tired hotel in a great location.

Overall, this hotel has seen better days. The whole hotel needs a refurbishment. Our room was particularly tired - the furniture is old, curtains are filthy, decor is outdated, bathroom is musty, tap leaks continuously, room is stale as the windows are not able to be opened at all (not even for 1" ventilation).
Biggest disappointment was the food at dinner, most of which (including cakes and bead) is clearly supplied frozen. This was reflected in taste, texture, and the fact that the bread wasn't actually defrosted fully before being served to us.
Staff were friendly and polite and did their best.
Hotel is in a pleasant location with parking available nearby if you want to avoid the 12/ carpark charge.
