The building that houses the Coat & Bear was originally built in 1880 as The Forest Hotel.
Does The Coat & Bear allow dogs?
They welcome well behaved dogs in the bar. They can accommodate up to two well behaved dogs in selected dog-friendly rooms and provide a bed, food and water bowl and a treat.
Dogs are charged at £20 per room per stay.
They ask that dogs are not left unaccompanied in rooms or public spaces. They also have a strict paws on floor policy across the property.
