Inside, the property is flooded with natural light which is allowed to flow freely about the open-concept layout. If you’re anything like us, you’ll fall head over heels with the contemporary design features here – the sleek grey kitchen, in particular, is a thing of beauty – but there are a couple of nods to the local culture as well, including the wicker lampshades and botanical print wall.Speaking of local culture, it would be impossible to talk about Saint-François without mentioning its world-renowned agricultural rum, which the town has been producing for hundreds of years.
Made from pure fermented cane juice rather than molasses, this famous spirit is delicious both on its own or mixed into a cocktail. Treat yourself to a glass in your gorgeous home from home, then set off for an afternoon of sunbathing at nearby Manganao Beach.
