One of the bedrooms is located in a self-contained apartment above the owners’ mews, separate from the main house.. Well-behaved pets are welcome to accompany you during your stay.. Your host – along with her two dachshunds – lives on site in a separate apartment, so you'll have neighbours nearby even though the home itself is privately yours.. You'll want a car for this stay – Dalkeith is a short drive from Edinburgh and the surrounding area, and the home sits on a rural estate rather than within walking distance of shops or restaurants..
