The spacious and stylish Family rooms can comfortably sleep up to 4 guests (2 adults & up to 2 children). They comprise of a Super King bed with a single sofa bed and pull out single bed or alternatively a double sofa bed.
Cots are available in some rooms. Selected Lake rooms can also take one child. Children are charged at £9 per child per night to include breakfast.

The grounds
Sandburn Hall is nestled in beautiful Yorkshire countryside, set amongst 1000 acres of woodland and lakes. From here you can explore the network of short walks on your doorstep.
Maps are available from reception detailing 3 marked trails for you to follow on the estate.
There are lots of other connecting paths and trails for you to explore the surrounding countryside, and spot some of the resident wildlife. The walks border onto Strensall Common, a large area of land with trails that include woodland and rare lowland heath. Part of the common is managed by Yorkshire Wildlife Trust due to the wonderful variety of birds, animals and plants.
History of the hotel
Sandburn Hall Hotel opened in May 2021 – the newest addition to the Sandburn Hall Estate, located just outside of York city centre.
The hotel design concept continues the principal of quality workmanship and styling that Sandburn Hall is built on. The design has captured the heart of the Hogg family legacy, founded by Mike Hogg, creating an elegant country feel, whilst staying true to their Yorkshire roots and heritage.
Does Sandburn Hall allow dogs?

Your four-legged friend is more than welcome to join you on your break at Sandburn Hall.
They have a number of dog-friendly Lake Rooms, each with their own private terrace leading straight into the grounds – perfect for walkies.
They will also provide a cosy bed, snuggly blanket and some delicious doggy treats to pamper your pooch.
There are some dog friendly tables available in Tykes Restaurant. Please pre-book for this to ensure that the Tykes team know you will be bringing your dog.
Dogs cannot be left unattended in bedrooms.
