Unsociable atmosphere in bar and restaurant staff unwilling to participate in conversation. Selection of beers dreadful.Meal portions minimal. Room was inadequate with block of wood holding window open, broken fan, no safety precautions in bath.

Your experiences certainly do not reflect our normal standards of service, quality or indeed hospitality that we pride ourselves on. Please be assured that remedial action has been taken as a result.
I have noted your feedback with regards to your room and as a company we categorise our rooms predominantly on size with some, but not all, having garden views. The issue of the broken sash cord within the window is within our remedial repairs projects and will be addressed going forward. The issue of the fan has been dealt with already. As I hope you will appreciate we sometimes can not fix these day to day repairs immediately as they sometimes require external contractors to address them. Unfortunately when you stayed we could not move you room as the hotel was full.
I hope that this does not deter you from visiting us again in the future, when you will experience us at our true worth.
