Breakfast is served from 6:30am until 9:30am on weekdays.

On weekends breakfast is served from 7:00am until 10:00am

Breakfast is served in the Fountain Room and a continental buffet and a hot breakfast menu is available.

Please note that the restaurant is currently closed as it's undergoing refurbishment to enhance your future dining experiences.  The newly refurbished Westfield Bar is open offering light bites to main meals.

Can you park at Abbots Barton?

Free on-site parking. Generally there is not an issue with parking but on exceptionally busy days free street parking maybe necessary. 

The hotel does not have any electric car charging points. 

Is Abbots Barton accessible for disabled guests?

There is a lift to all 3 floors, but some floors do have steps to navigate. 

There are no ground floor rooms at the hotel.

Only Suites have walk in showers.

Can children stay at Abbots Barton?

Children are welcome.  The hotel has two Family rooms (with a double bed and 2 single beds within).  The hotel does not have any extra beds that can be accommodated in other rooms.   Please enquire for availability of a Family room.  

Dependent on age the charge of a child's breakfast is approximately £6.50 per child, per night.  

Children 13 years and above will be charged as adults.

The number of cots allowed is dependent on the room type available.  All cots are subject to availability.

At check in, a £25.00 per person, per night pre-authorisation will be required from a physical debit/credit payment card for any additional extras spent at the hotel, to be released if not used upon departure.

History of the hotel

Built in the 1830's as a private house and originally known as Westfield house.  The now Abbot's Barton Hotel was a private residence until WW1 and then made available by Francis Bennett-Goldney's family to the Voluntary Aid Detachment as a hospital for wounded troops.

The hotel has lost none of its style and charm. If anything, the homely atmosphere has only improved with age! 

Does Abbots Barton allow dogs?

Dogs are welcome in all bedrooms for a small charge of £20 per dog per night, and dogs are permitted in the bar area. Please contact us if a dog friendly room is required. 

Dogs will receive a comfortable bed, bowl (1 each per room) and a warm welcome.
