Follow the countless bridle paths just moments away, leading to lakeside nature trails, mature woodlands, spectacular limestone caves, and eventually, the summit of Ingleborough.When it’s time to come back down to earth, this elegant home with a pedigree going way back to 1620 delivers all the cottage feels with flagged stone floors, exposed beams, and quirky little nooks.

There is on road parking outside the cottage for at least two cars. If you’d rather leave your car at home, Clapham train station is just a five-minute taxi ride away. A travel cot, highchair and stairgate are available for little ones on request. Initial logs for the wood burner are included. Though not pictured, there is a small dining table for four in a cosy nook of the living room. The cottage stairs are steep and include a turn, which may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility. Vertically blessed guests should be aware there is some restricted headroom in the second floor bedroom. There’s a handy outbuilding available to store bikes and outdoorsy paraphernalia .
