Blenheim Palace is a thirteen-minute drive, and you can hop on a train to Oxford and be there in twenty-nine minutes.
The cottage is in the market town of Charlbury, which boasts three pubs and a great park. There’s a library with a great children’s section and a charming cafe, so your rainy days are sorted. This is a wonderfully family-friendly home – the host has even created a dressing-up box for little ones. When the sun shines you can sit out on the patio while the kids play on the lawn.

The fourth bedroom has bunk beds so is best suited to children – the top bunk is suitable for children aged 6 and over . Your host can provide a cot and high chair for little ones – just bring your own top bedding for the cot . Your host kindly asks that you remove outdoor shoes upon arrival – bring slippers as the stone floor in the kitchen can be chilly . There are a few steps to the garden so children should be supervised, and those with limited mobility may need a hand.
