First thing in the morning, slip out of the balcony doors and watch the sun rise over the sea.

After a cooked breakfast around the table, grab the dogs and head out for a walk along the beach to skim stones and – if you’re brave enough – paddle in the bracing sea. Ten minutes by car will take you to Southwold, home to a charming pier and those picture-perfect brightly coloured beach huts.
An ice cream is surely on the cards here, or maybe you fancy fish and chips? For a bit more adrenaline, Lowestoft is just a fifteen-minute drive away and offers speedboat racing and boat hire. Nature-lovers will appreciate Oulton Broad and Pakefield beach, where some of the UK’s rarest birds have been spotted.
