A five-minute walk from Brook’s rugged coastal path and golden beach, the fresh sea air is never far from this isolated cottage. In a huge old farmhouse-style building, your quarters have tons of countryside character. Timber beams support the high vaulted ceilings, warm wooden flooring can be found throughout, and original, rustic barn-like doors keep things traditional.
That said, every modern convenience is available, although some have a vintage edge like the red Smeg fridge. Leisure certainly hasn’t been forgotten about either, with board games and an outdoor play area to keep the whole family entertained. While the little ones romp in the garden, relax on the patio with a pot of tea.
And when dinnertime strikes, you can light up the barbecue to dine alfresco on a balmy summer evening. As the home is located in the Isle of Wight Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (one of only forty-six such spots in the UK), the prized landscape is exceptional for walking, fossil hunting, and windsurfing.
But if you do fancy something a little more urban, the island’s main town of Cowes is just a twenty-five-minute drive.

Home truths
Your furry friends are more than welcome to join, but well-behaved pets are preferred. If you're bringing the whole family, your host can provide a cot, high chair, children's tableware, books and toys, as well as local babysitter recommendations. Free parking is available on the premises in the driveway (and we do recommend bringing a car to explore the area in full). The home is set on the ground floor only, so you don't have to worry about climbing stairs to get around. Your home is one of a few in the farmhouse – it's not detached, but more like an apartment (and you'll share the garden with other guests). Your host kindly provides all the barbecue equipment you'll need – such as charcoal, bamboo skewers/iron skewers, and so on
