The master bedroom sits up in the eaves where timber beams are still on display, but the sprawling king-size bed is a world away from a stable boy’s straw mattress.

There's an adjoining property that can accommodate six people, which can be booked separately or together with this one for ten guests. Bookings starting more than 2 months away can only be accepted for the whole property which has 5-bedrooms (called Unbridled on Plum Guide). Bedroom two can be arranged as a king-size or two twins, just ask your host beforehand. There is a Tesla charging point and private parking. Thirsk train station is a twenty minute taxi ride away. The owners live in the extended grounds but their property is separate and they use a different driveway and entrance. Host can only accommodate Monday or Friday check-ins and check-outs
