The staircase up to the top floor is steep, with a low beam at the entrance – your host notes it may be unsuitable for some guests. If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a travel cot, high chair, baby bath, and changing mat. You'll need to request these in advance. Two kayaks are available for guest use and are stored in the back garden. Life jackets and oars are provided. The front of the cottage faces the main road through the village, which also doubles as the local bus stop. You may hear some passing noise or morning chatter from people waiting for the bus, though reviews suggest it's generally quiet by evening. Parking in Flushing is on-street only, directly opposite the cottage – spaces are limited and can be tricky, as is common across Cornwall.
