You're deep in the Chiltern countryside here, well away from shops and services, so stock up before you arrive. The welcome hamper will get you started, but plan your provisions for the full stay.. The hut sits at the top of a hill inside a private estate, and the track up requires a 4x4 ideally. If you're arriving in a standard car, you'll park at the farm and your host will drive you up to the hut.. The games barn and tennis court are roughly a five-minute walk downhill from the hut, so factor in the return climb each time you head back up.. The hut is self-catering with a compact two-ring hob, microwave, fridge, and sink – perfectly workable for simple meals, but not set up for elaborate cooking. The barbecue and hot plate outside make a great alternative on fine evenings.. The only way to get clean here is a long soak – there's no shower, just a bathtub.
