The house was built in 1741 and rescued by the Spitalfields Trust before being purchased by a pair of collectors, one a British historian, and the other a landscape gardener. They poured their expertise, passion, and care into restoring every inch of this four-storey treasure trove, carefully applying layers of thin paints and chalks to the lime plaster walls – keep an eye out for the ornate chimneypiece that once had a home in the notorious Tom King’s Coffee House.
