There are stairs to most bedrooms. The hotel does not have a lift.
Some Deluxe rooms and all Suites can sleep 2 adults & 1 child (either on a sofa bed or a Z bed). Please contact us to check availability.
Children up to 12 are charged £60 per child per night for 13 years and over are charged at £105 per night, this includes breakfast.
Cots are provided free of charge.
Children can use the pool when supervised by an adult, there are no time restrictions.
History of the hotel
Charingworth Manor is an ancient estate, mentioned in Domesday Book. The main house of today is a Jacobean mansion with tall chimneys and mullion windows.
The writer T.S.Eliot was a frequent visitor when it belonged to the Cresswell family. It was here, in the 1930s, that he wrote Burnt Norton.
Dogs are accepted in one Classic ground floor room and one Deluxe ground floor room which have their own terrace and are on a request basis only. The cost is £30 per night.
Dogs are welcome in the lounge but not the restaurant.
