I booked to take my sister for her birthday and I was particularly looking forward to using the spa with her. We were sent an email in advance saying that the spa was not working but that we could use the thermal suite. My sister and I decided that we would still go because we could use the thermal suite. I then received another email before we arrived saying that the spa wasn't working (no mention of the thermal suite) and so we decided we would still go again. When we arrived at the hotel we were told that the thermal suite was not available either. We were very unhappy and expressed that we were not told. They apologized but could not rectify the situation. They said we could request a full refund and that the manage would be happy to grant this. We therefore accepted this and went to our room. When we went to our room the beds were made as a double but we had requested 2 single beds. Then my sister sat on the chair and the arm /leg broke off. We rang and complained and asked for the beds to be split in to two singles. They then offered us an upgrade of a room and we moved room. We were promised a refund and still this has not been granted.

Pleasant and convenient place to stay even if you aren't a golfer.

We have been to this hotel before and was keen to return, however this time the pool was out of action which was very disappointing and we had not been informed beforehand. The spa area is looking a bit tired as there were lots of mosiac tiles in the thermal spa suite missing. On the first visit to the spa the lady there was very helpful, however on the second day another member of staff was not so and seemed to not want to be there! The food in the restaurant was lovely, however we were a party of 4 and we had to ask for the 4th main course after the other 3 had been served a while before.

We have stayed here over the years a few times whilst on business.
