With th exception of one chef, the staff were good and some were lovely. BUT.
"Beautiful Georgian hotel"

Such a beautiful Georgian hotel in a very convenient location in Hay. The car park is small but there is a large, free car park opposite the hotel. We had a lovely, spacious room, very comfortable bed, and spotlessly clean. Unfortunately there was a problem with the shower, which couldn t be fixed while we were staying but the staff were very apologetic and it didn t impact greatly on our stay. The dining room is elegant, the food, good and reasonable priced and there was a good choice of drinks, again, reasonably priced. This is a great hotel for a short break to explore the lovely town and the beautiful surrounding countryside. We will return!

A lot of stairs, no lift. bedroom at top of house so very hot. ( weather was hot) had to have fan on all night. nice garden

THE ROOM WASN T LUXORY JUST A DOUBLE ROOM.MEAL WAS VERY POOR FOR THE MONEY MY HUSBANDS MEAL OVER DONE BURGER WAS BLACK ALSO BUN A LUXORY EXPERIENCE FOR VALUE LOOKING FORWARD TO EXPERIENCE AFTER A BAD MONTH OF US HAVING COVID
