This accommodation was booked as a birthday surprise for a family member. This was noted in the online booking specific requirements section.

I loved King's Lynn - it was beautiful, with a fascinating history. The hotel was the perfect, central base for exploring it.

What a lovely hotel, pleasantly situated in Kings Lynn. We have stayed there before and the quality hasn t changed. A great short break, made even more enjoyable by having well trained and friendly staff. The rooms vary quite considerably, so it s definitely worth upgrading.

"Not so luxurious off peak or otherwise"

From outside the hotel looks smart and inside the paintwork is neat and tidy, but the carpets looked tired. Reception staff could hardly be bothered when I asked about the car park. Room a bit pokey, with again a tired carpet, but OK, except for a loud droning noise. When we went for dinner, I spoke to a manager who said it was "the beer cooler and it would stop by 9 to 9:30". It didn't. Dinner mediocre. Back in our room I wasn't watching the time, but the drone went on and on. In the morning, it started up again at 7. Going down for breakfast, the receptionist didn't even look up as we passed. Breakfast mediocre. When we checked out, I said I'd like to make a complaint about the droning noise - the receptionist couldn't have cared less, but said she'd speak to the manager. I never heard anything from the hotel. I certainly wouldn't stay at this hotel again.
