Two nights in a cosy stone cottage bedroom; two lovely breakfasts and delicious evening meals. Stayed here to go to Chatsworth Christmas events, snow and blue skies, just a complete treat

We stayed at the Devonshire arms at beeley in September and we enjoyed the experience. The room was nice, the food was excellent and a special mention for the staff who were all very attentive, . all in all a good short break.

Enjoyed our stay, but my wife didn't like the bath being in the bedroom. She found the room a bit cramped and not quite enough space to put things.

"The Devonshire Arms in a Charming Village Location"

George, West Sussex, stayed: July 2024

The room was well equipped and nicely appointed but the bed (even when changed for a smaller one) was too big, resulting in very little space to move around. The bathroom, on the other hand, was the opposite with an excellent walk-in shower. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially the breakfast ladies, but bar service was sometimes poor because the bar person was often having to serve at restaurant tables. Food was generally good except at the first breakfast when streaky bacon was served instead of the advertised Derbyshire back bacon (big disappointment!). This was rectified on the remaining 3 mornings. The general ambiance was friendly and welcoming and the village location was excellent and car friendly with plenty of free parking space. A very enjoyable stay.
