"Certainly not Luxury."
Michelle B, Lancashire, stayed: March 2025

On arrival to our room we were rather disappointed due to the condition of the room. Damp patches on the walls with plaster falling off, and very very dark. The room was meant to be a deluxe river view, but this was definitely not the case. You could not see the river through the fencing/hedges.
"A lovely one night stay!"

A little confused on arrival, but once dealt with all was made clear and we were made welcome. The room was lovely, spacious and an interesting view over the mill beck. The bathroom needed some refurbishment, however the bath was a great size and lots of hot water, a great treat. Our evening meal was delicious, gluten free well accommodated, and there was a good range of non alcoholic drinks as well as the usual. Car parking was convenient.
"Pleasant Staff, Food disappointing"

Staff on arrival were quite welcoming . Our room was pleasant and clean, apart from the outside of the window because of the iron grating outside. But on a very hot day we did wonder why the heating was on full.. We did notice signs of damp in the corridors which may have been why. We ate in the restaurant which felt like just an extension to the bar area and the way through to the outside seating area. It did mean it was quite busy. We ordered the Charcuterie Board to share as a starter - very disappointing, apart from the Focaccia which was very good. For mains we ordered Sirloin Steaks, they were very fatty and the salad described as seasonal, certainly had nothing seasonal apart from salad leaves about it., sun dried tomatoes do not belong! In the same way that a chocolate brownie instead of a Shortbread Biscuit doesn't go with Creme Brule. The overall feeling was that the Bridge needs to concentrate on the basics
