"Wonderful Stay, wish it had been longer."

Huge, old hotel with so many rooms a butler was needed to show us round. Loads of history to this hotel. I would describe it as luxury, but in a laid-back, 'Lord of the manor' sort of way.

Throughout our stay staff were friendly, helpful and keen to tell us about the hotel. Our room, Semerwater, was large and surprisingly warm given its size. Our only criticism was the dim lighting in the seating area which made it difficult to read. By contrast the bathroom was well lit. Also spacious and warm. We enjoyed an excellent meal in Samuel s restaurant and also enjoyed the spa facilities.
