Terrace rooms are situated on the ground floor, some of these rooms have a walk in shower. All other rooms are accessible via stairs only, the hotel does not have a lift.

Children are welcome in their dedicated Family Suite, comprising of a large master bedroom and a separate children's room with bunk beds and cosy den, connected by a shared, family bathroom.
They also have a number of sets of interconnecting rooms within Terrace and Garden Rooms, perfectly suited to families with older children or those travelling as a group.

The history of Stanwell House dates back hundreds of years to the Georgian era, its design reflecting the simple and elegant architecture of the time. Over the centuries the building has served as a private home, a finishing school for girls, a solicitors and finally, in 1945, a hotel.
