"Overnight getaway"

We went for an overnight stay. The room was very nice as it was an upgrade so not cheep. The restaurant on the other hand was not up to standard. I ordered calves liver, which I'm afraid to say was tough, very veiny and gristley, mashed potatoes and a couple of bits of Kale. My huband had sirloin steak which was literally creamated. We didn't eat very much. We did however have a dessert which was very nice. The breakfast next morning was even worse. The bacon was so hard you couldn't cut it and the fried egg was so solid you neded to dig the yoke out. Very disappointing. We have stayed before when it was very nice. Shame. All the staff were lovely.

"A Weekend Break"

So much more could be made of this hotel given its excellent location with a little investment it seems to have got too big and struggles to cope with the large numbers of customers at any one time.

Our stay was very restful, the staff were all very helpful nothing was too much trouble we would certainly recommend and visit again in future.
