Great location only approx 30mins from the main attractions/sites. Friendly, helpful and welcoming staff. Period rooms well appointed and a comfortable lounge with fire to sit and relax with a drink. The restaurant menu and quality of food was exceptional. This is very much a quality hotel but with a friendly relaxing atmosphere. The Spa is a bonus to be able to swim and use the steam& sauna after a day out to relax before the evening meal. My wife had a treatment which she enjoyed from trained and friendly staff.
