"Could have been better"
Peter, Greater London, stayed: August 2024
As we have never visited the area before we picked Ravenwood Hall for its position close to town. When we arrived the room wasn t ready but we were offered a drink of our choice. Our room, the Oak room had a 4 poster bed and twin aspect windows overlooking the gardens. Nice room, but looking tired. The curtains had rotted in places and the bathroom carpet was badly stained. Dinner and breakfast were good.
"Ravenwood 2 night stay"

My main gripe is the quality of our bedroom, it was extremely poor standard and certainly not Superior as described. I have a few photos you may be interested in seeing.
"Good food let down by disappointing aspects"
PB, Surrey, stayed: July 2024
Food was the best part of our stay, and we had very good service from the lady who waited on us on the night of our arrival. The disappointing aspects of our room were: tired-looking decor, chipped furniture and paintwork, torn curtains; windows with broken sashes and cobwebs (only one of which could be opened); hair on the bathroom floor; no drinking water; no soap; broken TV remote; only one bedside light too faint to read by. We reported the lack of soap and the broken remote and were promised these would be attended to, but nothing materialised. Traffic noise from the nearby A14 was quite intrusive
"A relaxing break"
Steve W, Essex, stayed: July 2024
We had a pleasant few day s relaxing here and using it as a base to explore locally. The staff were very friendly and helpful at all times during our stay and the food was good. Lovely break.
"Ravenwood Hall Hotel Bury St Edmunds"
Roy S, Herts, stayed: May 2024
Did not feel this was a special break. Food was disappointing. Menu very limited and expensive and basic. Staff seemed inexperienced and there was no housekeeping on our second day. Breakfast was good. We had an annex room. The shower was only luke warm and a permanent dripping tap in sink. Also the TV was far too small for the size of room. A quaint hotel with lovely grounds but could have been so much better.
