"could be so much better"

good location and nice downstairs. the bedrooms are clean but a little dated we had a spa bath but it did not work no plugs near mirrors and some plug sockets only had the round pin holes for a round plug well out of date, Also we booked after noon tea and they had a lovely tea room but it was not in use porbably to due to shortage of staff but what a waste of a room and had to eat in normal room.this place could be so much more than it is

The welcome was a let down and not very welcoming. The restaurant was very poor and service was well below acceptable with food being served with a fifteen between main course and side. The room was lovely and Elenor at breakfast was very pleasant and helpful. Will I stay here again, very unlikely.

I d booked a champagne spa stay for a 60th birthday treat - the premium room with jacuzzi bath - however room (203) did not have hot water nor did the jacuzzi bath work. When I contacted reception they did indeed check the water temperature & duly noted it was tepid at best & also said oh no this jacuzzi doesn t work - I politely requested to be moved to a room with hot water & a jacuzzi that actually worked I was informed that no other rooms were available . I registered my disappointment with Off Peak Luxury only to be offered a 20% refund - I d paid in totally 359 for a luxury room without hot water nor a working jacuzzi bath.

OK if you like Disco. There was a very loud disco on 2 of the 3 night of our stay. Very difficult to ignore!
