The hotel looked charming from the outside. However , the receptionist was extremely unfriendly and very unprofessional. There was no offer to help me with my luggage to my room or indeed show me where it was.

So glad we stayed here, we were made to feel very welcome. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was excellent and our room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. We knew from reviews that the hotel was under new management and that they were working hard on bringing the more tired areas up to date, they were right. I would happily recommend family and friends to stay and/or eat here. We would definitely book again, this is a business worth supporting.

Whilst we enjoyed our stay, the hotel looked a little tired, which coming out of the last two years is hardly surprising. The menu in the restaurant whilst reduced had a good choice and the food was delicious. The breakfast had lots of items to choose from and was topped up regularly.

We had a lovely last minute booking weekend at the Priest House. Great location right by the river with water pounding by. Very friendly staff and a relaxing place to stay.
