Thought We d Need an Ark !!

We arrived after a few very rainy days ! Consequently the car park and surrounding area was flooded, we were told it had been worse the day before our arrival. This must have been a worrying time for the hotel, but I must say the staff were warm and welcoming and didn t seem phased by the water levels !
Check in was quick and efficient and we were in our room in no time. Lounge area was quite busy as I think Sunday lunches are quite popular. However we had a lovely hour or so in there, very relaxing !
Food was really nice and well presented, we didn t leave any !! Breakfast was also very nice, first morning we were served at our table as there didn t seem to be too many guests, but the second morning was a buffet style breakfast as there were more guests.
By this time the water level had receded and the sandbags had disappeared, car park was accessible once more !
Overall, our experience was very enjoyable and we would definitely stay here again maybe in the summer.
PS the bath in our room was huge ! What a luxury!!
