I was very disappointed in this hotel. It was totally unwelcoming - did not live up to expectations.

The hotel looked charming from the outside. However , the receptionist was extremely unfriendly and very unprofessional. There was no offer to help me with my luggage to my room or indeed show me where it was.
When I got to the room I was very disappointed. It was nothing like the pictures in the gallery. It was poorly decorated with chipped paint and very basic furniture. The shower area was tiny and there was no fresh water.
There was no air conditioning and a note to say not to open the window as the flies would get in from the river.Loud music was blaring which did stop early evening.
The evening meal was ok but nothing special. The breakfast was ok.
