The Gunroom Restaurant at Plas Dinas Country House offers a fine dining experience through its hybrid taster menu. The former home of Lord Snowdon and the Armstrong-Jones family, blends the feel of a true 5* boutique country residence with a house of historic significance. Headed up by our award-winning chef and TV personality, Daniel Ap Geraint, The Gunroom Restaurant is an AA 2 rosette awarded restaurant with a Notable wine list and has retained it place in the coveted MICHELIN Guide since April 2022.

The Quintessentially British Afternoon Tea is served daily in various settings throughout the house with a choice of unique tea blends, delicious homemade cakes and dainty savouries.

Afternoon Teas are not available on Tuesdays From October until April and are not available on Mondays throughout the year.

You will feel relaxed yet indulged from the moment you walk in.

With the monthly changing menu, designed around the seasons and using the freshest local Welsh produce, the award-winning restaurant offers an elegant and romantic dining experience in a historic country house oozing romantic tales set in the heart of Snowdonia, North Wales. The Gunroom was added to the Michelin Guide in April 2022. A huge achievement for our talented and ambitious team of chefs.

Please note that the hotel only offers one menu which is their nine course tasting menu.

Dinner is served at 6pm or 8 pm, reservations are essential to avoid disappointment so please ensure that you book in advance.  Make sure you arrive half an hour before to enjoy a pre-dinner drink and nibbles in either the beautiful Drawing Room or or intimate Gunroom Bar, which features a selection of trendy cocktails and delectable gins as well as other spirits and wines.  

Please note that the restaurant is open daily from the beginning of April until the end of October. From November - March, it is closed on Mondays and Sundays.
