Good value breaks in a nice hotel in Chipping Campden. Restaurant and menu choice good and varied although slightly Asian orientated. Staff friendly and helpful and the voucher for the lovely coffee shop really appreciated. Has a lot of quirky features and can be a bit of a trek to ones room but would stay again. This was our second break here and the Xmas/ New Year breaks look good too.

The staff at breakfast were almost rude and dismissive . All other staff especially the young bar staff were very good. On the Saturday night , returning from a meal out before 10pm the place was deserted and in the dark no staff or management ! I think this is unacceptable as well as potentially illegal . We were left to turn off a fire and lights and had to walk around the hotel to get to our rooms so that the front door access would be locked . If we had not then the hotel would have been accessible to anybody ! This was all on the night when everybody got an extra hours sleep due the clocks going back .goodness knows what would have happened if guests had an emergency or there had been a fire !
