Thank you to the staff for such a special night. We were incredibly lucky to get a fabulous upgrade. The room and bathroom were gorgeous. The bed is very soft and sunken and needs replacing however is the only issue we had. The restaurant and spa were beautiful, food outstanding and hotel is just stunning.

Found everybody welcoming on arrival, now that I have reached the age of 80, I appreciated the delivery of our baggage to our room. Everything was of the highest quality and it was obvious that no expense had been spared. We had an explore we soon found our bearings and seats outside were found, the view of the estate over the golf course was uplifting. We both had a comfortable night s sleep and a good breakfast in the morning.

I chose Matfen Hall to celebrate my 80th birthday with a friend and was not disappointed. In fact we d wished we had booked for 2 nights. From being greeted at reception on arrival to checking out the next morning we enjoyed the atmosphere, the layout of our room, the Christmas light display in the grounds and throughout our stay the staff were always pleasant and attentive. I would have no hesitation in recommending this elegantly decorated, luxury hotel
