From the moment we arrived we were made to feel not just welcome but special. We were greeted by name, assisted with our luggage and asked about our journey. Our room was perfect, comfortable and nicely decorated in relaxing pastel shades. We were very pleased to find a fridge in the room with free mineral water (yes! Free!) and a jug of real milk for the well stocked and varied selection of tea and coffee. There was also a welcome card, a jar of sweeties and a basket of apples on the dressing table. The bar and lounge is warm and cosy and very much in keeping with its history. The menu was mouthwatering and the food did not disappoint. Restaurant staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. When we returned to our room after the meal our cups were set out on the tray with sachets of luxury hot chocolate and marshmallows. If you want a quiet, romantic getaway with great food and amazing scenery this is the place to come.

A beautiful location and we had the weather to go with it as well. Very nice rooms with great finishing touches. Would love to stay again and the five hour drive to get there was worth every minute. Only slight negative was the size and quantity of the meals, but this would not put us off from staying again.

I took my wife there for a break to celebrate her 40th Birthday. The room was lovely, although I was slightly disappointed to not have a sea view, however we had a balcony and could just see the sea and this did not reflect on our stay. The hotel was busy that night, so I understood why. We were woken early in the morning by the fishermen going out to sea, but I thought that was great and pretty unique. The service from the Manager was fantastic and every last detail thought of. The turndown service included a glass of hot chocolate and a marshmallow and also the weather report for the next day and also a printed off joke! The service was very attentive and the management and staff did all they could to ensure our stay was amazing.
