Originally built in 1879, the inspiring surroundings of Lindeth Howe Hotel gave creative inspiration to the famous children's author and illustrator Beatrix Potter.

The Beatrix Potter library has a range of books, guides and leaflets on the area for you to browse through, as well as information about Beatrix Potter herself. The hilltop lounge with its sunny aspect overlooks the lawns with a garden door that opens up onto the terrace. And as the evening descends relax in a comfy chair in front of the log fire, and enjoy the tipple of your choice from the well stocked bar, whether it be a glass of local beer or a flute of fine champagne.
