- The hotel is situated on the edge of Halifax and does have a few houses and a school situated near it's boundaries. Within the private grounds is however a secluded garden and you are also just a short drive away from countryside.

Can children stay at Holdsworth House?
Children are very welcome in selected rooms that can accommodate one extra bed or one cot. An additional child charge of £25.00 per night will apply for an extra bed or £15.00 per night for a cot. Most Suites offer a double sofa bed for up to 2 children aged 11 or under which is included within the room rate. The hotel have a selected number of interconnecting rooms for older children. Travel cots can be provided for £15 per night. Interconnecting rooms are charged at the full adult room price. Meals are charged as taken.
History of the hotel
The history of Holdsworth House is as mesmerising as its architecture. This stunning Jacobean manor dates back to 1633, although there is evidence of a building on the site as far back as 1272. To this day Holdsworth House retains many period features such as stone mullioned windows, beamed ceilings and impressive fireplaces.
Does Holdsworth House allow dogs?
Dogs welcome in selected bedrooms by prior arrangement at a charge of £25.00 per dog per night. This includes (on request from reception) blanket, food/water bowl, poop bags, 'Dog in Room' door hanger.
Dogs are not permitted in the restaurant but guests with pets are invited to dine in the Bar or the Hall.
